With a diverse membership base, ranging from the very smallest of producers, using artisanal production methods unchanged since the 18th century, to large modern distilleries, WIRSPA has striven to ensure that all producers can boast of world class products.
With support from CARIFORUM governments through funding provided by the European Union, WIRSPA has worked to strengthen the capacity especially of the smaller rum producers through technical cooperation, training, knowledge sharing, and promotion of quality, best practice and bench-marking.
