The Secretariat manages the daily business and operational activities of the association and is overseen by a Chief Executive Officer, who reports to the Board of Directors.

THE TEAM

Vaughn Renwick
Chief Executive Officer

In the role of CEO from 2003, Mr. Renwick has supported the provision of technical services to producers; overseen an investment programme utilising co-financing resources provided by the EU, through CARIFORUM governments; and assisted with the creation and promotion of the Authentic Caribbean Rum (ACR) Marque as a seal of quality and provenance for the industry.

Vaughn has worked in the fields of trade and export policy and alternative energy with CARICOM, the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Secretariat, Caribbean Export and the Government of Grenada.

Carolann John
Office Manager / Events

Ms. John joined the team in 2007 as one of our Administrative Assistants and now manages the Secretariat’s clerical and administrative functions, including providing support to the CEO. She also coordinates the association’s conferences, seminars and meetings.

Carolann has been in the administrative field for over two decades and is a member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP).

An expanded Team, functioning as the Programme Management Unit, manage the EU co-funded Integrated Development Programme for the Caribbean Rum Sector (2003 – 2010) and the CARIFORUM Rum Sector Support project.
